Ray, wondering if you have found out any more information about Charles Goode of Dublin. It seems to be late first quarter and average quality.
I'm familiar with maker of same name from London who made outstanding quality watches but there is no record of him working in Dublin although Loomes reports that he has no information about him after 1714 (he died in 1730). There was a Goode that a member bought to the British Horology "show-and-tell" meeting just last week at the Mid-Winter. An early piece with an early balance jewel and high quality finishing. Will try to get pictures of it for this thread. |

If possible I, too, would love to see a photo of the Goode watch. Thanks.

The system is also restricted to accepting photos less than 2402 x 2402 pixels (?) across. Once I compress them then they will upload. |

Reformatted in Photoshop. Files are under 500K and 2400X2400. Will not post. Very frustrating. |

Downloaded some stuff as Neil does with ease; now, I cannot (for the life of me) locate my downloaded photos from my cell?

Success posting pictures but had to severely reduce the size / resolution. This is an authentic Charles Goode, the London maker. It has a very early cap jewel that was discussed at the British Horology meeting at the Mid-Winter Regional and is being further researched. An important artifact. |

Thanks; is one on your wish list?
These early English are certainly wonderful. |

Very Cool Watches - I just wish they respond better to servicing! |

They are artifacts of times past, not to be used as current timekeepers. |

I agree, but most collectors want them to at least run. |

It is surprising to me how many very early verges still have good staffs and "tick!" |
