This rather strange movement British movement has "Partly Swiss", on it that I think refers to the Winding and Setting Mechanism and maybe some other parts. It has been made after McCabes Death. Thomas Gammage was a very skilled Watchmaker who was capable of very high quality and Complicated work. As an example at Auction: LOT 29
Thomas Gammage: An 18ct Gold Open Faced 52 1/2 Minute Lever Karrusel Pocket...
SIGNED THOS GAMMAGE & SON, 60 QUEEN VICTORIA ST LONDON, FROM THE LATE JAS McCabe, THOMAS GAMMAGE & SON: AN 18CT GOLD HALF HUNTER POCKET WATCH. |

I think that the Raw movement was made by: JC Chesworth, John Liverpool Museum 1851, 1871, 1881 New Road, Prescot watch movement maker St Nicholas ( Liverpool) |
