Hi, I have not posted for a while mainly because of slow Post. This André Hessen working moment is French which is not what I usually Buy. Sellers Description: "AN AUTHENTIC GEORGIAN FUSEE POCKET WATCH MOVEMENT BY ANDRE HESSEN DATING TO c.1780. IT IS IN REASONABLY GOOD CONDITION AND WORKING ALBEIT THE KEY IS NOT ORIGINAL. THERE IS ALSO THE OUTER PAIR CASE AND GLASS. MEASURING APPROX 50MM IN WIDTH. BEING OFFERED FOR AUCTION WITH NO RESERVE. GOOD LUCK AND THANK YOU FOR VIEWING!"
I received the movement a few days ago and I am very please with it. It has the center Second driven by a Gear on top of the Contrate Wheel.

Showing the bit of Hinge where the Consular Gold Case has been twisted off.

Side View of the Gear on top of Contrate Wheel Driving the Center Second Hand. I just noticed the "M A", on the edge of the movement. Unknown movement Maker.

Two examples of type of Case the movement was in before the Scrappers got at it.

Beautiful piece and great photos. I hate the picture of "twisted/broken hinge where the case has been twisted off." I know this is all fixable but it is a shame none the less.

This should have been in the European Forum, I don't know how to swap it. Regards Ray
