Collectors are getting old and dying off Doc. The market will not easily absorb much of this onslaught.

I spoke with a couple of buyers That I've known a long time.

They said the bottom is not there yet with watches. He stated the millenials do not have the money, they are only interested in tech and they only want to work 5 days a week.

He just bought a collection of 3000 wrist watches from a guy collecting for nearly 40 years. He got them for $30 each. He said to me 15 years ago I would have paid 3 times that for the collection.

He went and flipped the collection to a dealer. The dealer took the whole thing to auction and barely made money on it.

There is too much inventory and on top of that there is a ton of new inventory that no one wants. Both buyers agreed that the only sure thing are Sport Rolexes. Everything else is just going to sit.

Even Patek is starting to be soft unless it is a certain model everybody wants.

AND, if we go into recession next year like some people are predicting, the market is going to get even worse.

Bought a lot of Wallies lately - got them for a good prices too!

The more the better, these flurries come and go, never a better time to pick up freaks and cherries. All you can really know is what something is worth to you, comps don't mean anything in this market. Sell your worst pieces to pay for the new good ones. Geno

Yes, markets like this offer a GREAT buying opportunity IF one knows what he is doing.

From what prices I have reviewed have been very strong in many sectors--even some records for GsOTFW; however. common junk, low end and many RRs are collapsing.
