I have received texts from some members, questioning the legitimacy of this watch

Just how many members think this watch is correct???

My vote - Frankenwatch

I think it is real.

Then again, I have never seen one, that is not with the 19j sidereal movement.

Incorrect grade for a S., but what if some one changed the gear ratios and it works???

(This example has been around years past!)

I have an email out to the seller asking him to confirm if the hands turn only once around the dial per day.

If he says yes, what then??

Do you honestly believe that this watch is correct?

Were the dial and movement blazers, would JH buy this for his own collection thinking it original?? Shocked

Bill Tapp or any other watchmaker with half a brain and basic watchmaking skills could slam something like this together.

Plus, the serial range is COMPLETELY wrong!

Even if the gears were changed, why would you want this versus the way it should be compared to the expected norm. Too much explaning and the kind of watch that will be extremely hard to sell and will not hold value like an original package. Geno

Even if...by some weird chance...somebody at the factory made it (and I am not saying the did) it would be a tough sell.

I heard back from the seller and he confirms that the hands do take 24 hours to around once around the dial. He also states that it keeps normal time - rather than sidereal time.

Unless you have those special minute and hour wheels (which I have seen) - it is NOT that easy to slam together.

Has anybody seen model 92's with regular 24 hour dials? Non-sidereal "Explorer type"?

I am thinking this was prob an explorer watch that someone replaced the dial on it. But I've never seen one!

In a few words: PUT TOGETHER, or a FAKE made to deceive!

It doesn't take a genius to guess that someone had a loose dial and decided to make an oddity to SELL!
