Hi Steve -
Do you think it would be productive if you noted where these are observed? |

Neil
My thoughts are it would not add any value to the posts. |

It works for me. I don't know if the problem is with the different computers and operating systems. I use a MacBook Pro. |

hi steve,
I have seen a Waltham model 83 with a Waltham dial and a private label movement. I also see that you have listed a couple here on this page.
from what you have seen, was this a common practice for Waltham, marking the movements but not the dial ? |

Hi Wayne
Yes it was common practice for Waltham to offer private label movements only, private label movements with private label dials and regular movements with private label dials.
I have over 1,400 Model 83's recorded with private label markings. Some private label movements I have recorded, I have not seen a dial marked with the same name. For example, I have 17 movements recorded with Charles S. Hart on the barrel bridge. Not one of the 17 have a dial marked with his name.
However it is more common to have a private label dial on a regular movement than it is to have a private label movement with a Waltham dial. |
