Just farting around with the lights this morning. I took this in as partial trade for another watch with the intention of selling it right away but it is growing on me. The manual wind movement is very pocket watch like to look at.

Sell it as fast as you can - don't let that one grow on you!

Thanks Geno...If I worked on the lights for another hour or so I could get the stainless to look better...but...

Neil,

What do you know about these that my other watchmaker friend who owns one and loves it doesn't? He says it is actually fairly nice inside for watch in this price range.

Yes John - They are pretty - But not my first choice for a WW.

If I recall they have problems with the retrograde mechanism. LeCroix does not sell parts for these movements, so when the time comes that you have an issue, you will have to send it to them.

They do not hold their value - so unless you got it for very little - be prepared to sell it for less than what you got it for.

Your watchmaker buddy - does he have plenty of experience with this Brand?

Maybe I am just being negative, John. But there are more watches out there with engineering issues than I can remember. And my patience wears thin with all these companies cranking stuff out faster than we can keep track of. Instead of addressing issues they simply "retire" the model and move on.

I have about half of what they sell for used on eBay...about 15% of list in it so I think I can afford to fart around with it until I am tired of it.

On normal new big name brand watches lower than Rolex, Patek, Audmars, I will pay 30-35% for the full set. To me Maurice is not a big name.
