What's saddest about this is that it stems from Jeff Hess - someone who should know better.

There was one guy on ebay who used to sell watches with a very short description.
He answered questions in a very curt way and was sometimes accused of being rude.
Basically it was - here it is, look at the pictures and don't bother me with dumb questions.

Haven't seen him for a while but it was kind of refreshing at the time.

Look...I've known Jeff for a long time. We are not the greatest of friends but I talk to him from time to time. I don't need to share all of my feelings about him publicly. He may be a lot of things and he is certainly a salesman but Ultra Mint seems a bit weird for him. It's not that I can't believe it or don't want to believe it I just think he has been around long enough to get his own cringe about a term like this.

Terry, his 'people' must have learned it from 'somewhere'!

Even when I was shiny new like a polished silver case, the "used car salesman" prattle was both a red flag and an attraction.
Jon is right-it cheapens us all.

Wouldn't that one be more accurately described as a Swiss Fake ?????

Stephan, this does not really fit the definition of a "Swiss Fake" because it really isn't a fake of anything. It is a typical generic stopwatch/timer. The Garland brand was sold by a lot of different companies. When the same watch says Heuer on the dial I will pay about $30.00 for one in decent condition. I guess Jeff thinks that the Ball connection makes it worth a lot more. We will see. I seriously doubt it.

It certainly is not manufactured by Ball as the description says.
