No, there's a single bid for it. It was largely ignored. What's the value on it, John?

It's hard to say Kenny. My belief is that all of these originally came in a gold 18s Ball marked SB&B case (who really knows). There is almost no way to find the proper case. I saw a decent one of these sell at an NAWCC mart a few years ago in its original case for well North of 10 grand. They are pretty scarce and very collectable.
Geno answered first and I would probably agree with him...but I would want to see better pix or hold it in my hand first. |

This listing probably was gone in under 3 minutes, or faster, that is the usual for these kinds of rips. Value is tough and subjective, if 2 guys want it and they bid against each other then who knows. I agree with John, you really have to have it in hand so what the condition is really like. Geno |

I see what you mean, Geno. BIN. eBay's way of finalizing the listing on the start page is deceiving, showing one bid.
I'm wondering now how the seller came up with the price. A misread of the fat book, or she saw something sort of similar online? You would think that if she figured the watch to be worth almost $1K, why not more?
A truly ignorant seller might have listed it at $500. or something. |

No, I think someone changed an auction to a buy it now, and snagged it! |

Yeah - I am not up on Balls, but a 23j Hamilton Ball?? Even I would have grabbed it for what it sold for!
You guys have any idea how that's done? How does one troll the listings on a realtime basis to snag BIN's like that??? |

Spend 24 hours a day going blind and not having a life!
But the real question is, "just how much do these FOMOs really make in a year of this work? |

It is really very simple to set up searches and have results sent to your mail when new items are listed. You just have to try various search criteria to see what one or ones will fill you needs.
The auction was open for over 4.5 hrs before that one person bought it. |

Right, but it's an imperfect science - or algorhythm, Darrah, as you might have found out. Not all items answering a description will come to you. I've tailored them five different ways, and still miss stuff. You might not find out what you've missed until you do a past sold or scan every search word for hours. If time is money...as Jon suggested. |

True and there is also a lot going on behind the scenes by buyers that try and use eBay resources without paying their selling fees. Can't get around that. If I miss one of those, I don't lose any sleep over it as I know another one will come along. I have been more successful by not rushing into these sort of things. |

THE GOSPIL!
Use 10 descriptions/words and still miss what you want/collect.
BUT, there are trollers who have a fear of missing out and blur themselves to all of this.............. |
