Here is one I just picked up.

Don't think the seller knew much about it because the lids were backwards.

Has male threads on the lids and a female thread in the body.

Can be interesting to open cause it is hard to get a good grip on the back cover or the bezel.

On this one the movement sits in an inner brass ring and is held in place with the usual 2 screws.

There are screw marks at about 4 and 10 looking from the rear.
Would have been a stem wind/set movement.

Any ideas what it might have been.

The paper label is in great condition. Nothing stamped under it.

The Giles connection is what attracted me to this.

That's a Canadian Case, Steve - I have a few of these with Waltham 83's in them. Only pendant set movts will fit in them.

Didn't realize these were plated steel cases. Explains why they look a bit different.
