My prize from the National. I know it is just a wristwatch but it is making people drool. 18k from the mid '60s....

Quite scarce anyway. This and the Heuer Carrera etc from the same period were tool watches. They were mainly produced in Stainless Steel cases. They are scarce in karat gold. This dial "reverse panda" is also quite scarce. I love the chrono hand with its little diamond end.

Thanks boys

Agreed absolutely could not get a better photo, really outstanding and one of the keys to getting more dollars for an item on Ebay and the internet. Geno

Its a beautiful watch but this brand never quite took hold in the US. Very popular overseas. I think it was brought by the owner rather than sold here.

I think these are sleepers - for whatever reason people don't look for those.

Niel,

As you know, slightly past the time of this watch Zenith Electric Company here in the US sued Zenith Watch Co over use of the name in the US. Your old company, Movado took over the rights to sell Zenith under the Movado name here. You are correct though, the brand really never caught on here. Zenith was responsible, for the development of one of the greatest and most innovative wrist watch movements ever designed...the El Primero introduced about 4 or 5 years after this watch.
