Let me have your thoughts on the value of a 16S Elgin Grade 4 in a very nice silver Dueber drum hunter case with crisp engraving including an elk. The nickel movement is 15j, adjusted with microregulator, very clean and running strong. Seller asking $225, will probably go slightly lower. Thanks in advance for any input. |

Hey Dan-
I am not an Elgin guy but the case alone is worth close to that figure.
16s drum HC in silver is about $175-$200 depending on condition. I don't think the movt is worth much, but I'm guessing on that part. |

Thanks, Neil. The great case really makes this watch appealing. I'm not crazy about Elgin either, but the adjusted movement is bright nickel and fairly high grade for it's day. I think the case is original to the watch. I'm sorely tempted if I can bargain the price down a bit.

$150-175 for 16s, without problems |
