Dan, I think you need to ask yourself, what self-respecting talented watchmaker is advertising himself on fleabay? Let's face it, if you are a watchmaker and you are soliciting work on ebay you are probably a) new or b) not very good. Any watchmaker lacking a 1-2 month backlog is usually a red flag.

eBay may be great for buying watches, but I wound never consider it for locating and purchasing a service.

If you are friends with Jeff Hess you might consider reaching out to him - his wife is an absolute wiz at these matters and they reside in FL and would be familiar with the state's laws.

Bryan: Good suggestion on Jeff Hess. I have spoken to him in the past and he was personable. I believe he originally hailed from the same county I grew up in.
