I wanted to report that eBay has greatly increased exposure to International sales.

They automatically will list your items in many new countries without any additional fees.

This is working. Last week I had 4 watches on and all of them sold to European country's.
So it is good news because the US market has just about dried up on common stuff.

Jim the only downside is they want a 30 day return, which means some may try to sell it and then return it if they can;t, still if it's working for you that's good Geno

Geno,
The 4 watches I sold had my regular No Returns Policy in the auction. I didn't have to sign up for any special program, they just emailed me that they were expanding regular listing to cover International sales

Jim, did you have to change your ebay account to "Business" in order to activate this?

Are you incorporated?

No, I didn't do anything. Check your messages in My eBay for the notice I posted.

Not sure about other countries but ebay here is now automatically adding GST to purchases from businesses.

So

If I buy a used model train from some private guy in UK I do not get hit with GST but if I buy the exact same used model train from a business I get GST added at checkout.

For some reason postage from the US is way more expensive already so if you add another 10% on top of the total you may be pricing yourself out of things.

No point listing OS if you are priced out by add ons.

Stephen,
I am sorry but this is your usual bitch & moan type of post,so to solve your problems just move to the USA.

My only purpose of posting the info was to let USA users that eBay was giving them something for free that they didn't have before, a rare thing in today's world.

Dear Jim,

Not complaining about anything.

Just explaining what happens if you become a business V a private lister.

Like I say it may be different in other locations.
