Further to the above the gent who built the model actually built 3 of them.

This is the first in 7 1/4 inch gauge. 1.5 inch to the ft.
He then built a 5 inch gauge version. 1 inch to the ft.

and finally, just to see if he could do it a 3 1/2 inch gauge version that is 3/4 inch to the ft.

All had the correct, fully operating valve gear which uses adjustable throw cams to open and close 4 poppet valves on each cylinder.

Only 1 full size machine was ever constructed which survived into preservation. A unique machine that was years ahead of its time.
