Quite a few of the members liked the wanted section for members which was removed, what 9 plus months ago.

Members would like it re-instated. I liked it and thought it was a good resource for those long time dues paying members who need a part, a dial, a watch, etc. The assoc has been advocating web presence, what better perk for the members?

CERTAINLY Tom Terrific (web meister) could add it back to the assoc home site--the assoc spends quite a bit of space asking for donations, etc. so it would not require very much space.

Thank you for reading.

Reports are that the nawcc bureaucracy continues to run wild with the old guard and clockers holding back members services and progress.

The nawcc continues to take away amid all the begging and requesting estate assets from the members. (have you seen the membership renewal brochure?)

WHEN ARE THE MEMBERS GOING TO GET SOME INTERNET SERVICES besides the awful MB and home site?

Doesn't the assoc. want membership participation--what better way than to reinstate the wanted section for the members?

Jon,

We are working diligently on the new website. All efforts are geared toward getting it ready for public launch. This is priority one and there is just not time or resource for anything else right now. We will look into what you are talking about but there is not going to be much if any time or energy devoted to the old/existing website.

As for the new NAWCC message board, I like it a lot...what's not to like?

SO, why not include a wanted section like the assoc. had before--how much work would that be?

There's no saying we wouldn't have something like this Jon. We're open to lots of things. We just need to get launched and fix bugs and get the new site working. It is a big site with a lot going on and we have limited resources.

Jon,
This is the post that says we will be having a Wanted forum, all the rest is typical BS because they didn't get their way and can't stand the fact that that a new idea was approved over their objections. The Administrators  and all the clock Mod's are against every new idea that has ever been proposed and that has to change if the NAWCC is to increase membership.

I believe our mission is to be a community that supports horology. Forming a community involves inclusion of those who may not agree with your particular views or needs. If someone requests a service that fits in with our general mission, I see no reason not to provide it.

Tom,

Thank you for being opened minded about most new idea's and suggestions. With Tom Wilcox as our new ED and a more modern era BOD and good input from the general membership I see a brighter future for the MB.

This is what we are up against as I said in my post #82

Just for the record, the creation of the wanted forum is an administrative decision.
