Good point - I hadn't noticed the missing dust cover. If the springs are weighted then all bets are off ... but it would be easy to tell from the total weight of the watch. |

My friend the appraiser is waiting for a confirmation on the diameter of the case.
I related to her that we are a having a BIG discussion as to whether the watch is a lady's or gents watch.
Hopefully we can get a clarification shortly - I am a little surprised by the interest, but I did not think they made these movements for lady's watches. |

These watches are pretty old, Marty. They were made for those evening vests that you mention? Those vests were Gent's fashion in the 1840's? |
